شاید با خودتان بپرسید که فضای کاری مشترک چه تفاوتی با یک مرکز شتاب‌دهنده دارد؟ میان این دو مفهوم علی رغم وجود شباهت، تفاوت‌های اساسی نیز وجود دارد. برای مثال در تعریف یک شتاب‌دهنده، مسئله‌ی شراکت مطرح می‌شود که در فضاهای کاری اشتراکی چنین چیزی کلا تعریف نشده است.

اما چه چیزی سبب می‌شود که فضاهای کار اشتراکی روی کارایی افراد تاثیر بگذارند؟

تخقیقات نشان داده که میزان بازدهی افراد در ایین محیط‌های کاری، بیشتر از زمانی است که در خانه‌ می‌نشینید یا اینکه در یک کافه مشغول به کار هستید.

حضور در فضای کار اشتراکی به افزایش بهره‌وری افراد می‌انجامد.

۱) فریلنسرها برای انجام کار خود آزادی دارند و همین آزادی باعث می‌شود تا در انجام آن اهمال کنند. به همین دلیل افراد معتقدند حضور در فضای کار اشتراکی باعث ایجاد یکپارچگی، نظم و انگیزه در آن‌ها شده و بهره‌وری‌شان را افزایش می‌دهد.

۲) از طرف دیگر نیز می‌توانید با افرد دیگری که در این فضای کاری مشغول به کار هستند، صحبت کرده و از تجربیات‌شان برای کار خود استفاده کنید. البته تعامل اجتماعی با سایر افراد حاضر در این فضاها اجباری نیست و افراد می‌توانند زمان و نحوه این تعامل را خودشان انتخاب کنند.

برای موفقیت استاراپ باید از تجربه‌ی استارتاپ‌های دیگر استفاده کنید و اشتباهاتی را که آن‌ها انجام‌داده‌اند، مرتکب نشوید.

۳) محدودیتی که در این محیط کاری وجود دارد، مثل ادارات و شرکت‌های دولتی نیست. شما می‌توانید تمام روز در این محل حضور داشته باشید یا اینکه آخر هفته‌ی خود را نیز در این محل صرف کار کنید.

۴) در این فضای کاری می‌توانید با افراد دیگری نیز آشنا شوید. استارتاپ‌ها در فضای کاری اشتراکی با برگزاری رویدادهای مختلف می‌توانند با افراد مختلفی آشنا شوند و برای خود سرمایه‌گذار پیدا کنند. این امکان فضای کاری اشتراکی را نمی‌توانید در خانه و یا در یک کافی‌شاپ برای خود ایجاد کنید. برخی فضاهای کاری اشتراکی با فراهم کردن شبکه پشتیبان، افراد و استارتاپ‌های مختلف را با سرمایه‌گذاران لینک کرده و و امکان شکوفایی سریع‌تر ان‌ها را به وجود می‌آورند.
