گروه کاربران لینوکس یا لاگ یک سازمان خصوصی، اغلب غیرانتفاعی یا بدون هدف انتفاع است که برای اهداف پشتیبانی و یا آموزش کاربران لینوکس بخصوص کاربران تازهکار لینوکس تشکیل میشود. این عبارت اغلب به گروهی محلی گفته میشود که به صورت فیزیکی دور هم جمع میشوند هر چند گاهی به گروه کاربرانی که در محدوده جغرافیایی وسیع پراکنده شدهاند و به صورت برخط با هم تعامل دارند نیز گفته میشود.
اهداف لاگها بنا به نیازهای اعضا و محل لاگ تغییر میکنند. هیچ برنامه راهبردی یا برنامهریزی خاصی برای آن وجود ندارد. در لاگها بوروکراسی و مدیریت مرکزی وجود ندارد.

The Linux User Group or LUG is a private organization, often non-profit or without a profit motive, formed for the purposes of supporting and educating Linux users, especially new Linux users. This term is often used to refer to a local group that physically gathers together, although it can also refer to a group of users who are dispersed over a wide geographical area and interact online.
The goals of LUGs change according to the needs of the members and the location of the LUG. There is no strategic plan or specific planning for it. LUGs do not have bureaucracy or central management.

LUG Tabriz will be held on September 8th from 16:00 to 17:00 with a focus on Linux-based boards.
