The Silk Road Startup event, as scheduled, began its work from the city of Tabriz. In this event, 6 serial entrepreneurs and representatives of investment institutions will visit cities in Iran and will examine Iranian startups.
In the Tabriz event, among the 10 startups that reached the competition stage, after the presentation of the startup teams in English and the Q&A session with the judges, the startup Lokobook (social network for books and reading) was able to qualify for the competition in Kish Island in Spring 97.
Since when has an online book selling application become innovation? There are countless examples of it. Is copying Uber innovation? Is stealing foreign and domestic products innovation? Do these judges even understand English to know what the plan is, or did they just pick from the street because the organizers wanted to be purely European, or because their LinkedIn profile was big? Nowadays, anyone who works somewhere for a few months has a big LinkedIn profile; that doesn't make them an investor! No investor makes a decision in four minutes unless they have the goal of stealing a plan. Plans that reach products are tested and can easily be stolen and copied. When you look and see there's an accelerator behind it, doubts turn into certainty. What do the Iranian organizers have? At least they should promote themselves until tomorrow when a government job comes their way. Nothing in this world is free.
I came as a spectator. I kindly request that this be the last time you hold a seminar in medical-related faculties because it was just embarrassing and the laughter and chatter of so-called educated people. It got to the point where the foreign judge was saying 'quiet, quiet' because even with a microphone, he couldn't hear the presenters. It's truly shameful. These are the future doctors of society who play with people's lives and think they fell from an elephant's nose but have no sense of etiquette. It's also the people's fault; they just inflate these individuals. Even if some of the presenters didn't speak good English, do these spectators know how to go up and comfortably speak in their mother tongue? For your own dignity, at least bring technical people as spectators.
I agree with the comments of friends. Please hold the festivals in a place unrelated to the medical community. They think they are the only ones who are educated and the rest are illiterate. While without the designed medical devices that are the work of engineers, they are nothing, but unfortunately, in Iranian society, doctors are portrayed as if they are flying elephants. The chatter and laughter of the audience in the hall were very embarrassing and disgusting. The city's dignity was lost. When the presenters are technical people, don't invite non-technical individuals for your class.
