رویداد استارتاپ راه ابریشم (Silk Road Startup) از تاریخ ۲۲ تا ۳۱ اکتبر برای اولین بار در ایران و با حضور کارآفرینان و VCهای بزرگ اروپایی و با هدف ایجاد ارتباط میان جامعه استارتاپی ایران و اروپا برگزار میشود. این رویداد به شکل ارائه استارتاپها در ۸ شهر ایران و در نهایت یک کنفرانس ۲ روزه در جزیره کیش صورت خواهد گرفت که در آن استارتاپهایی از سراسر کشور فرصت ارائه به کارآفرینان و VC های اروپایی را خواهند یافت.
ایران بعنوان کشوری که جوانان بسیاری در آن به فعالیت در زمینه استارتاپها مشغول هستند بسیار مورد توجه سرمایهگذاران و شتابدهندههای اروپایی قرار گرفته است و رویداد استارتاپ راه ابریشم اولین رویدادی است به شکل تور برای آشنایی اروپاییان با فضای استارتاپی ایران برگزار خواهد شد.
پیش از برگزاری رویداد اصلی در جزیره کیش، هیئتی از داوران داخلی و خارجی با یک اتوبوس اختصاصی به شهرهای تبریز، زنجان، تهران، اصفهان، یزد، شیراز، مشهد و رشت سفر خواهند کرد و شاهد ارائه استارتاپهای آن شهرها خواهند بود. در نهایت منتخبان هر شهر فرصت ارائه و حضور در کنفرانس دو روزه جزیره کیش را خواهند یافت.
تبریز بدلیل وجود جامعه فعال استارتاپی و حضور استارتاپهای در حال رشد بسیار یکی از اصلیترین مقاصد این تور استارتاپی است و در تاریخ ۲۳ اکتبر (۱ آبان ماه ) شهر تبریز میزبان این هیئت اروپایی خواهد بود.
برگزارکننده اصلی این رویداد موسسه Startup Sesame است که با حمایت معاونت علمی و فناوری ریاست جمهوری و مرکز شتابدهی نوآوری برگزار میگردد.

The Silk Road Startup event will be held for the first time in Iran from October 22 to 31 with the presence of European entrepreneurs and VCs, aiming to create connections between the Iranian and European startup communities. This event will take place in the form of startup presentations in 8 cities in Iran, culminating in a 2-day conference on Kish Island, where startups from across the country will have the opportunity to present to European entrepreneurs and VCs.
Iran, as a country where many young people are engaged in startup activities, has attracted significant attention from European investors and accelerators, and the Silk Road Startup event is the first event to be held in the form of a tour to familiarize Europeans with the startup ecosystem in Iran.
Before the main event on Kish Island, a panel of domestic and foreign judges will travel by a dedicated bus to the cities of Tabriz, Zanjan, Tehran, Isfahan, Yazd, Shiraz, Mashhad, and Rasht and will witness the presentations of startups from those cities. Ultimately, the selected startups from each city will have the opportunity to present and participate in the two-day conference on Kish Island.
Tabriz is one of the main destinations of this startup tour due to its active startup community and the presence of many growing startups, and on October 23 (Aban 1), the city of Tabriz will host this European delegation.
The main organizer of this event is the Startup Sesame institute, which is held with the support of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and the Innovation Acceleration Center.
